Rabbi Weinberg is originally from Brooklyn, New York, and grew up surrounded by harbotzas Torah. His father, HaRav Meier Weinberg shlita was a maggid shiur in the Beis Medrash in Torah Voda'as for fifty years. Rabbi Weinberg is a son-in-law of HaRav Yaakov Drillman shlita, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Beis Yosef in Brooklyn.
Throughout his life, Rabbi Weinberg learned from different gedolim such as HaRav Shmuel Kamenetsky shlita and HaRav Yitzchok Soloveitchik shlita, and maintains close relationships with his previous Roshei Yeshiva.
Rabbi Weinberg arrived in Cleveland from the Brisker Kollel in Yerushalayim to help establish the Hebrew Academy of Cleveland Kollel. While in the Kollel, Rabbi Weinberg taught and mentored talmidim in the high school.
